Garrison Brewing Ol’ Fog Burner

One of my favorite brews from Garrison, Ol Fog Burner.

Expect a deep rick caramel color with a bit of IPA bitterness. This is a complex brew and at 11.5%, you have to take your time appreciating this one. They release two versions of this beer: regular and barrel aged.

The biggest of all beers, “Ol’ Fog Burner” Barley Wine is an exceptionally mellow and complex ale. It’s tawny copper colour and subtle sweet spiciness transcend boundaries and expectations. Suitable for cellaring.

 Glenora Edition

One of my favorite limited beers from Garrison, this is an aged in oak barrles from Glenora distillery in Cape Breton, which started its life at the jack daniels distillery.

This beer is very smooth, the smell & taste of bourbon along with the sweet vanilla & caramel hints from that beer makes this very smooth and pleasurable for a 11.5% beer.

But at 12$ a bottle, you take you time drinking this one.

This extremely limited edition Barley Wine was aged 11 months in oak barrels that once held Glen Breton Rare single-malt. Vanilla, caramel & whiskey notes offer a true taste of the Highlands. Sláinte!
