Part of an old stagecoach road hidden behind recent residential development.

The Old Coach Trail is a historic trail preserved in the Ravines of Bedford South housing development. The trail is lined with trees and ferns and passes a number of small ponds and brooks. The trail runs above and parallel to the western shore of the Bedford Basin, which can be viewed from the adjacent street and walkway network. This trail is popular among individuals and groups for the nature interpretations. There is no dedicated parking lot, but lots of spots are usually available along the Southgate Drive or Vanier Way. For transit users, take the 80 or 82 b us along the Bedford Highway to the Glenmount Ave & Southgate Drive stop. The trailhead is a 300-m walk up either street.
