Sea Dog Brewing – Wild Blueberry Wheat

We brought back a few cans of year around available Sea Dog Blueberry Wheat Beer from Topsham Maine when we went for our Katahdin adventure.

We wanted to know if the wild blueberry taste was still vivid as we remembered at camp. Yup still there, and on a hot summer day this is actually a very nice easy going beer to drink.

Nice and sweet, lots of blueberry, a bit creamy texture. Maybe closer to blueberry jam rather than fresh blueberries. We found that the taste improved in the can after a few months.

From Sea Dog’s Website Our unique contribution to the fruit ale category features the nutty quench of wheat ale combined with the delightful aromatics and subtle fruit flavor contributed by Maine wild blueberries.
