Interview with Jessi Gillis from Storehouse Butchery and Local Produce, in the Hydrostone area of Halifax. Jessi tells us about her background working in Italy, partnering with sustainable farms, her time in a greek butcher shop in Toronto, and how she opened her new store in Halifax.
The store focuses on sourcing all of their products from Nova Scotia, including all their meat, produce, flour, eggs and cheese. They make all of their products in house, such as guanciale, bacon, sausages, jerky and pickled vegetables.
