Big Axe – Double Bit IPA

We try out the second growler from New Brunswick’s latest brewery: Big Axe in Nackawic.

This time we tried out their Double Bit IPA. Overall, it’s a nice middle of the road IPA. It’s not as dramatic with the hoppy bite that you get from the other beers in the region. Smooth drinking beer, it does have that thirst quenching aspect to it.

  • Aroma – light citrus and hop and just a tad of malt.
  • Color – Amber going into copper color.
  • Mouthfeel – medium mouthfeel, low dryness. Clean finish
  • Taste – nice hoppy bite, the malt balance things out. Not a lot of bitterness at the end.
