2012 Live Review
This is a 4.8% ABV Belgian Style Wheat Beer, a 2010 winner of Garrison’s Ultimate Brew-Off Competition and a 2011 Bronze medal winner at the Canadian Brewing Awards.
The 2012 batch got tweaked a little, with a little more dryness with a spicy/coriander at the end. Great aroma and complex flavours to work through from banana bread to orange at the end of the beer. Still has to be one of the best Belgian wheat beer produced locally (if not the best). The array of tastes makes this a good find. Those in NS will be able to find it. No plans to bring any palettes across the border, although the Tidal Bore brewpub in Moncton has it on tap.

The awesome folks at Garrison Brewing allowed me to drop in on a busy day; the 2012 launch of NiT-WiT.
This is a 4.8% ABV Belgian Style Wheat Beer, a 2010 winner of Garrison’s Ultimate Brew-Off Competition and a 2011 Bronze medal winner at the Canadian Brewing Awards. I chatted with Brian Titus, president of Garrison and asked a few questions about Nit-Wit, the Brew-Off and some of the challenges of brining these beers to market. There are a few news bombs peppered within the video, so pay close attention as you’ll learn what Garrison has planned for the next year.

2011 Quick Beer Review
Quick Beer review from Garrison Brewing – Tilford’s Nit-Wit!
As winner of the 2010 Ultimate Brew-Off, Scott & Daniel scaled-up & brewed his tasty Belgian Witbier for all to enjoy. A refreshing, elegant and crisp Belgian-inspired wheat ale.
Personally, I found this beer refreshing, crisp, carbonated and very aromatic with the spices used. The taste was more complex or intense than with the other “white” beers I’ve had lately such as Keith’s & Rickards White. As with Garrison’s brews, I find that the taste is more concentrated than with the mass produced beers, but this makes it better.
