We try the latest from Propeller Brewing – a Munich style Dark Lager, in celebration of Nocturne Art at Night, an annual evening visual arts festival in downtown Halifax on october 13 2012.
At 4.8%, this pours very dark with a soapy tan head and lots of carbonization. You’re thinking stout but the liquid makes you think something else.
The nose we found was a mix of lager and pilsner, something else to confuse you.
However, the taste is a wonderful blend of chocolate, roasted malt and mellow dryness. This ends up being a light tasting beer but with loads of flavour. We decided that this was one of Propellers best offerings in recent memory.
