Brasseurs du Petit Sault – Bob LeBoeuf Belgian Ale

We try out the second of the initial release beers from Brasseurs du Petit Sault from Edmundston, New Brunswick – Bob LeBoeuf. This is a 5.2% ABV Belgian Blonde Ale. Hoping to get some earthy notes, a little sweetness etc.. Appearance – Nice deep straw, light gold color. A bit hazy. Nice white head with quicker fading than expected. Aroma – Getting the zest mostly, maybe a hint of the sweetness from that Belgian sugars, hmmm? Flavour – Lot of sweetness from malt in my opinion, orange, corriander taste. A little caramel at the end, maybe some Belgian candy sugar? Mouthfeel – Fairly carbonated with moderate dryness at the end. Light mouthfeel not heavy. Overall – has a lot more flavour and character than their other release Tante Blanche. So this a sweet with dry finish beer. Not bad for when you are outside. http://petitsault.com/en/
