Flint & Fire Steel

I finally got a flint and steel kit off ebay The kit has sisel, jute, steel, flint, birch bark and char cloth. Place the char cloth on the flint and strike down with the steel. It is important to have your birds nest and wood ready to go as once you get a spark things will move fast.

BCB Crusader Cup with Greenheat Fuel

I tried out the Crusader Cup with some alcohol based jelly. I like the self contained aspect of it and always knowing exactly how much fuel I am carrying. This will be my fuel of choice for day hikes.
